Oquirrh Mountain Utah Temple

13 months ago I took some photos of the Oquirrh Mountain Temple in Daybreak, South Jordan, Utah. Here is a ten photo panorama from that occasion. It really is a lovely temple. It encouraging to see a bit of light standing out among darkness. There are the lights of the city be you better see that those lights are dim when you see a temple all lit up. I'm sure a host of analogies could be made. It must be admitted that the buildings are beautiful. They truly are.

Red Cliffs and the Colorado

There is only one time I have stayed at a hotel/motel of sorts near Moab. It was at the Red Cliffs Lodge just up the Colorado River from Moab. The lodge is located on a beautiful bend of the Colorado. The reason we stayed at the Red Cliffs lodge was because I had won a two-night stay. If it were not for that we would have been camping for sure. If you want to know more about Red Cliffs Lodge ask me... or find them on the internet.

While we were Staying at the Red Cliffs Lodge we got to see some lovely scenery of the Colorado River and the areas around Moab, Utah. We went to Arches National Park, Negro Bill Canyon (including Morning Glory Arch), Moab and other places. It was beautiful.

Right out the back of where we were staying we had a great view of the Colorado River and the surrounding bluffs and mesas. We were completely surrounded by red cliffs, and the new greenery complemented them well. It was fun to come out and see river rafters passing by.

The scenery was breathtaking no matter the time of day or night. In the following images you get to see some of the photos I took along the Colorado River.

Moon coming over Twin Peaks, UT

I took this photo by the Jordan River in the Salt Lake Valley of Twin Peaks. The moon was just coming over the mountain so I had to move quickly to get this photo. It is surprising how quickly the moon moves.

I had to take multiple photos and combine them because the dynamic range of scene was extreme. While I was taking the images the moon was moving and it was noticeable in the photos. It took a little more work to get it to look right. The image is a beautiful winter moon and the lovely silhouette of Twin Peaks. I took the photos on January 9, 2012.

August - 14 - 2010

Ok with this day I had to put two on because they are in two different states. (hint in the US)
The first is from a historical place just off of I-90 East of Cleavland, OH.
The Second is a place that should be easy to guess.
